Environmental policy
Denplan has recently achieved the International Standard accreditation of ISO14001. Our Environmental policy describes our commitment and ambition in reducing our impact on the environment.
By looking at our business activities, we have identified Denplan's significant environmental aspects and impacts, and have set realistic objectives and targets to manage and reduce these.
A lot of work has been going on behind the scenes developing our Environmental Management System (EMS). This draws together our Environmental Policy, Aspect & Legal Register, Objectives & Targets, Procedures & Controls, Auditing & Management Review and is externally audited to the International Standard of ISO14001:2004.

Our Vision
We are committed to following more sustainable environmental business principles.
As such, wherever feasible:
- We will monitor, evaluate and make more efficient use of resources by:
- Reducing waste
- Increasing recycling rates
- Reducing energy use covering electricity, commuting, business travel and the distribution of our products and services

- We will work with all our suppliers to help them to reduce the environmental impact of the products and services which they provide for us
- We will aim to prevent pollution that is caused directly by any of our activities
How will we achieve this?
We will:
- Set targets to reduce our environmental impacts which will be reviewed on an annual basis with the agreement and support of the Executive Leadership Team
- Ensure that we evaluate and monitor our activities and seek to reduce our environmental impact year on year as part of a continual improvement process
- Implement an environmental management system which achieves and maintains certification to ISO 14001:2004
- Ensure that we comply with all relevant environmental legislation, other applicable organisation requirements and Simplyhealth's Environmental Policy
- Communicate our policy, objectives, targets and progress to all our employees on a regular basis and ensure appropriate training is provided where necessary
