Q. What should I do if I require emergency dental treatment?
A. If you are at home, please call your dental surgery in the first instance for on-call instruction. If you have difficulties contacting your dentist, please call the Denplan Helpline for assistance.

If you are away from your registered dentist in the UK or overseas contact the Denplan Emergency Helpline who will endeavour to locate a dentist within your locality.

Q. What am I covered for in an emergency?
A. You are covered for temporary treatment (up to policy limits) to help alleviate any pain or discomfort, any permanent treatment should be provided by your own dentist.

Q. What should I do if I have had a dental accident and require emergency assistance?
A. Contact your registered dentist immediately to organise an assessment appointment, where you will be asked to complete a dental injury claim form.

If you are away from your registered dentist (on holiday/overseas) contact the Denplan Emergency Helpline who will help you in making an appointment or locating a dentist within your area.

Q. Will I have to pay for my emergency treatment?
A. You may be required to pay for your emergency treatment. If you have paid the account, please attach your receipts to the claim form and submit to us for assessment.

Q. What should I do if I submit my claim outside the set time scales?
A. Please submit your claim ASAP with a covering letter explaining the reason for the delay, this will enable us to accept the claim for an assessment.
