Denplan Care is the leading dental payment plan in the UK.  It allows patients to budget for their dental treatment and receive regular, preventive dental care. Denplan collects the monthly payment by Direct Debit from the patient, and after allowing for a small insurance and administration fee forwards payment to the dentist.

 

The monthly payment for Denplan Care covers patients for:

• All routine and preventive care from their dentist, including examinations, x-rays, necessary fillings, hygienist visits
• Major restorative care, such as bridges, crowns, dentures, root fillings 
• Dental accident and emergency insurance, which includes:
  • Accident cover up to £10,000 per incident

Denplan Essentials is a maintenance plan that enables patients to budget, on a monthly basis, for the cost of all their routine and preventive care, such as examinations, X-rays and hygiene treatment.

 

However, with Denplan Essentials, any additional treatments required, such as bridges, dentures and crowns, are paid for at private fee-per-item rates direct to the dentist.

 

The monthly payment for Denplan Essentials includes cover for:

• Dental accident and emergency insurance, which includes:
  • Accident cover up to £10,000 per incident
  • Hospital cash payment for every night spent in hospital under the care of a dental or oral/maxillo facial surgeon
  • Mouth cancer treatment costs up to £12,000 upon positive diagnosis
• Denplan's Insurance Services, which includes a 24 hour worldwide emergency helpline

 

Plans for Children from Denplan has been designed to give dentists a means of providing an appropriate dental care programme for children.  For an agreed monthly payment the child patient will benefit from the best levels of care in a way that allows parents to manage their household budget.

 

The plan allows dentists to have more flexibility when choosing treatments for their child patients, without being restricted by procedures funded by the NHS.

 

In addition, it includes Supplementary Insurance and Denplan's Insurance Services – like Denplan Care and Denplan Essentials.

 

Plans for Children is available at selected practices across the UK.

 

 

Denplan Excel is an accreditation programme that provides dentists with a formal framework to help them exceed professional quality standards. It gives dentists a visible stamp of approval, assuring patients that their dental practice provides high standards of care, measures and monitors its performance, and seeks continual improvement.

 

It helps dentists to develop better relationships with their patients through good communication and encourages them to take a more proactive, preventive approach to their oral health.

 

There are five elements of the programme:

• Patient Information Framework (PIF) – to promote an open two-way relationship between dentist and patient.
• Oral Health Score® - exclusive to Denplan Excel, it gives each patient a unique and personal evaluation of their oral health.
• Patient Satisfaction Survey – allows patients to feedback comments to their practice to help make visits more productive and enjoyable.
• Denplan Quality Programme – ensures that member dentists surpass quality standards, set out by the General Dental Council and other legislative bodies.
• Clinical Records – ensuring a consistent way of recording patient notes on examinations and treatments.

Denplan Excel was the first professional accreditation programme to be approved by The Patients’ Association.

 

 

Denplan Enhance offers interest-free patient loans, designed specifically with high-value and cosmetic treatments in mind.  With the increasing popularity of these treatments, Denplan Enhance enables more patients to afford high value dentistry such as implants, cosmetic or orthodontic treatment by spreading the cost over monthly instalments.  This plan can help widen dental care options and make sophisticated treatments more affordable for patients.

 

Patients can borrow from £500 to £25,000, over 6 to 36 months (depending upon loan amount).  The loans can be offered to all patients, subject to their credit status, whether Denplan, NHS or private.  Treatment can be booked in immediately.

Implant Insurance Upgrade is an optional upgrade to the Mandatory Supplementary Insurance cover provided with Denplan Care, Denplan Essentials and Plans for Children. It provides cover for dental implants – a modern and secure treatment option that looks and feels like a real tooth.  So in the event of an accident that causes tooth loss, this expensive treatment is available without the issue of cost.

 

Company Dental Plans These plans are designed for the employee benefits market and are currently used by the employees of over 1,100 companies.  Simple to use, and with a choice of any dentist, three plans within the range can provide reimbursement towards routine and restorative dental treatment.  All plans provide worldwide accident and emergency cover, and access to Denplan's 24 hour worldwide emergency helpline.

 

 

Denplan for Schools is a worldwide dental accident and emergency plan designed exclusively for pupils at independent schools. Denplan Emergency is a stand-alone dental accident and emergency insurance product.  If a patient is moving house, for example, and needs to change dentist, they may have a period of time without their Care or Essentials plan.  Denplan Emergency helps them to maintain their accident and emergency insurance, providing peace of mind to the patient.
