Your fees
Your monthly fee covers the time spent with your dentist and other members of the practice team in providing you with regular preventive dental care. Depending on whether you have a Denplan Care, Denplan Essentials or Plans for Children plan, they may also cover the cost of certain restorative treatments such as fillings, crowns, bridges and extractions. As every Denplan contract is agreed to meet your specific needs, check what’s included in your plan with your practitioner.
The fee you pay may change from year to year. There are a number of reasons for this. Your dentist may have put you into a different fee category to reflect a probable increase in treatment needs over the coming year. Conversely, some patients find that their fees can go down from year to year as their oral health improves.
Another reason why fees tend to increase from one year to the next is inflation and the increasing costs of practice overheads and materials. However, if you feel that these factors do not explain a fee change, it is best to discuss this with your practice team.
Supplementary Insurance and Insurance Services fees
As part of the total monthly Denplan payment, 90p represents the premium for your Supplementary Insurance provided by AXA PPP healthcare limited, which includes Insurance Premium Tax at 5% (excluding residents of the Channel Islands and Isle of Man), and 39p is the fee payable to Denplan for providing Insurance Services.
