Our heritage

Denplan was set up in 1986 by two dentists who wanted to offer patients more than the NHS dentistry system allowed at the time. The payment plan system they devised allows dentists to spend less time on administration and spend more time focusing on providing high quality preventive treatment.

 

Since then, Denplan has grown into a hugely successful organisation. After joining the PPP healthcare Group in 1993, and subsequently becoming part of the Guardian Royal Exchange Group, 1999 saw Denplan become part of the Global AXA Group, the worldwide insurance company dealing with life, health and other forms of insurance, as well as investment management.

 

Now Denplan is the UK’s leading dental payment plan provider, and its member dentists care for more than 1.8 million patients nationwide.
