Your Supplementary Insurance
As a mandatory part of your dental plan, Denplan arranges
Supplementary Insurance for you.
- This policy provides you with cover towards the cost
of eligible dental treatment received as a result of dental injuries
and emergencies
- You are covered for dental injury and dental
emergency treatment received in the UK or abroad.
What it covers
Your Supplementary Insurance cover provides you with the following
benefits. For further details of the benefits, limitations and exclusions of
the cover, please refer to your
policy document.
Benefit A - Emergency dental treatment when away from your own dentist
If you are 40 miles away from the locality of your own dental practice, and require emergency dental treatment,
Denplan will pay up to the specified limits for temporary dental treatment to resolve your dental emergency.
Benefit B - Treatment following dental injury
If you sustain an external blow to the mouth, benefit will be paid for the actual cost of treatment up to the
benefit limits specified.
Benefit C - Out of hours consultation for dental emergency or injury
In the event of a dental emergency or injury, you are covered for temporary emergency treatment outside of normal
surgery hours. Please refer to your policy document for fees payable when the appointment occurs within the specified
times should you be charged.
Benefit D - Hospital cash benefit
You can claim up to £60 for each night spent in hospital under the care of an oral consultant / maxillo-facial
surgeon. This benefit is payable 365 days per year.
Benefit E - Overseas emergency dental treatment
Should you require and receive temporary dental treatment in an emergency while overseas, benefit will be paid
up to the specified benefit limits.
Benefit F - Mouth cancer cover
This benefit covers you for charges for treatment of mouth cancer. Please refer to the policy document for exact
limits.
