Managing People and Employment Law

Designed for any team member with managerial responsibilities. Consider expert advice on people management. Discuss how to apply these principles in dental practice. You will write an action plan designed to improve your management of people in practice. Take the opportunity to review your policies and practices to ensure compliance with employment law covering contracts of employment, discrimination and dismissals. Understand the breadth of your employer responsibilities towards your employees and other workers. Plan to make the necessary changes and keep up to date with future legislation.
Introduction to Clinical Hypnosis

Half-day
This module aims to give you a greater comprehension of the phenomenon of hypnosis and how you can use this in an ethical and professional manner within dentistry. Although it will not give you the skills or qualifications to practice hypnotherapy, it will assist you in making an informed choice about further training, and give you a clearer understanding of hypnosis.
MBTI: Understanding your Personality Profile

The MBTI© (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) is a versatile tool which provides individuals and teams with a powerful understanding of their own and others personality types. With this knowledge you can improve communication and enhance your working relationships. The Indicator is based on the personality theories of the eminent Swiss psychologist, Carl Jung, and developed by two non psychologists, Briggs and Myers and over 20 years of research was completed before its publication. The module involves the completion of a questionnaire which will be assessed by a qualified Myers Briggs Practitoner before the training day.
