As your payment plan provider, we want to equip you with the tools, services and benefits to achieve your business goals and to enable you to deliver the best possible patient care. Below is an outline of the benefits included in your agreement with us and how to take advantage of them.

GP and EAP services

A healthy practice team is a happy practice team. We want to provide health and wellbeing support, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Both physical and mental health are key to performance and wellbeing. With our new agreement, we are able to offer you and your practice team access to Simplyhealth’s virtual GP 24/7 service, virtual physiotherapy triage and a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).


The GP 24/7 service includes an online video physiotherapy triage service to advise on the best course of action, should you have any other aches and pains that don’t warrant a GP call, but you would still like some advice.*


The EAP is a confidential helpline that offers compassionate advice to you and your team whatever challenges you face.


Whether you have a health issue, legal concern, financial challenge or just an everyday problem you’re facing right now, you’ll be able to speak confidentially to a specialist who will be able to help. This in-the-moment support is available for a variety of issues, including (but not limited to):

  • Health and lifestyle concerns including smoking and weight loss

  • Basic medical advice

  • Child and elder care advice

  • Emotional support

  • Stress assessment and management

  • Marital changes


How to access this service


To get setup with the GP and EAP service, you will need to complete and return the form found in your welcome email. Please return this completed document by email to [email protected]. Once your form is received, those that have registered will receive an email with instructions on how to use the GP and EAP services.


* Physiotherapy triage available Monday – Friday: 08:00 - 19:00. Saturday: 10:00 – 13:00. Sunday / Bank holidays: Closed.

Waived patient joining fee

We’re making it easier for you to sign up new patients.

Once a patient has chosen your practice, we want to support you in removing any barriers to patients joining a Denplan payment plan. Helping you recruit loyal patients as seamlessly as possible by removing any obstacles is important to us. Our research shows that many Practice Managers believe a joining fee can be a barrier for a patient to join a plan. That’s why we’ve made the decision to remove the joining fee for any new patients joining Denplan.


Your team will find it easier to sign up Denplan patients and support practice growth when they can focus the conversation with the patient around the benefits of a preventive approach to oral care and monthly budgeting.


How to remove the joining fee


Great news, there is nothing for you to do. We have made all the necessary arrangements so that you can concentrate on providing your patients with a great service. From now on, simply carry on as normal without the need to charge a joining fee.

Enhanced compliance support

We know that regulation and legislation can be challenging to navigate, this is where our enhanced compliance support is here to help. When signing your new Denplan agreement, you would have selected access to either our ‘Compliance Health Check’ or ‘Denplan Excel Accreditation’. Both of which give you access to a compliance specialists over the phone, who will be able to support you and your practice team with any questions.


Denplan Compliance Health Check


The Denplan Compliance Health Check focuses on preparing your practice for any regulatory inspection. It covers the key aspects of your practice’s clinical governance; including patient focus, infection control, risk management/patient safety, practice management, documentation and legislation, radiology, record keeping and CPD. This option will help you prepare, provide and maintain evidence ready for regulatory inspections eg. CQC, HIS, HIW, RQIA. You will have free, 24/7 access to Denplan’s wide ranging online health check resources, that are designed to help Denplan practices continuously maintain high quality standards across a comprehensive range of compliance areas.

Access to our self-assessment toolkit will help you identify and manage any gaps in your practice compliance and our new dedicated Denplan compliance team will provide you with personalised feedback and help support you with best practice action plans. We will also give you regular updates on all the latest legislation and regulatory requirements in all areas of the UK.

Denplan Excel Accreditation


The Denplan Excel Accreditation programme is an extensive clinical governance certification programme designed to demonstrate professional excellence in dentistry. It will allow you to show expertise in patient care, communication and quality assurance.


You will receive professional peer support through a full day Denplan Excel practice assessment from a member of our specially trained and highly experienced Practice Advisor team every 18 months, who are themselves Denplan Excel Dentists based across the UK. You will be assessed against key legislator and regulatory requirements in the fields of facilities, patient focus, infection control, risk management/patient safety, practice management, documentation and legislation, radiology, record keeping and CPD.


On passing your Excel assessment you will receive the prestigious Excel certification, which is the first Dental Quality assurance programme to approve by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). Denplan Excel accreditation will give you the ultimate peace of mind.


How to access the Denplan Excel Accreditation


If you selected the Denplan Excel Accreditation as your preferred compliance support, you will receive an Excel form via email. You will be required to provide the details of each qualifying dentist who wishes to join the programme and return this form to us in order to begin. Our customer services team will then implement the service and contact you with further instructions.


Online patient feedback survey

Your customer base is unique to your business, this is why implementing surveys and asking for patient feedback will allow you to improve your business and flourish.

The online patient feedback surveys are an extension of our Enhanced Compliance Support. Asking patients for their views on the care and treatment provided by your practice is not only a requirement of the regulators, it is important to help you monitor and develop all the services that you provide. This allows you to plan improvements based on patient feedback and facilitate enhancements to your patient care pathways. The patient survey is easily conducted online and is anonymous. The results will be available in an easy to read information pack.

Denplan Champions

Your personal in house Denplan expert helping to attract new patients and keep existing ones loyal.

A Champion can be any member of the practice team and their principle role is to promote Denplan. They’ll know all about the Denplan products and services and will be responsible for motivating and inspiring the other members of the practice team to encourage patients to join Denplan and understand what the practice growth ambitions are.


Our Denplan Academy Online will support the Champions in their role by providing them with all the training they need to feel confident in their conversations with patients. As a starting point, there is a basic level of training to ensure Champions truly understand the Denplan payment plans, the optional insurance available to patients and what services Denplan provides to practices. Once this first level of training is completed, Champions will have access to an incentive programme whereby if new patients are signed up online, they will bank vouchers for each patient they sign up.


There will be many new improvements on the Dental Dashboard that will allow Champions to register new patients online, access real time information and update patient details instantly.


Champions also take on the responsibility for the practice’s promotional activities, backed by Denplan’s campaigns that the Champion can tailor to your patients and your local community. For those Champions looking to further their development, coming next year, there are further levels of training to include CPD hours and designed with their career progression in mind. As an example, in depth marketing modules and commercial awareness training will be made available through the Online Denplan Academy learning portal.


How to get started being a Champion?


Simply complete the Champions section of the GP and EAP form found in your welcome email, detailing who is going to be the Champion in your practice and return to it [email protected]. A member of our customer services team will be in touch with the Champion to confirm they can access the Dentist Dashboard to start their training and talk them through any questions they might have.


Each staff member will be registered to the Denplan Dentist Dashboard, which can be accessed here: www.denplan.co.uk/dashboard-login. Once logged in, your team member can then navigate to the Champions section to learn about all the benefits they now have access to.

Your unique training programme is available to ensure your whole practice team feel confident in contributing to the overall growth of the practice. This brand new training package will give you and your team the tools and techniques to become Denplan experts.


The whole practice team will become confident in discussing the benefits of Denplan products, helping you to attract and retain patients and ultimately grow your practice. This programme uses a blended learning approach that combines online training with a series of webinars and supplementary information booklets.
