If you’re already a Denplan patient, and have Denplan Supplementary Insurance, you can apply for our Denplan Implant Upgrade Cover. For just £2.25 per person, per month, you’ll be covered for up to a maximum of £20,000 per incident and £2,100 per dental implant fixture following a dental injury.
You can apply for Denplan Implant Upgrade Cover by either logging in to MyDenplan, calling us on 0800 401 402, or speaking to your Denplan dentist.
Why should I choose Denplan Implant Upgrade Cover?
If you have a dental injury and lose a tooth as the result of this, your dentist may not be able to restore your teeth using the treatments covered by your current plan.
However, with Denplan Implant Upgrade Cover, you can rest assured that if you do lose a tooth due to a dental injury*, you will have cover in place should your dentist feel an implant is clinically necessary.
For full details of the benefits, limitations and exclusions of the cover, please refer to the Denplan Implant Upgrade Cover terms and conditions
*Eligible dental injuries are those to the teeth or supporting structures (including damage to dentures while being worn) which is directly caused suddenly and unexpectedly by means of an external blow to the mouth.
Your Denplan monthly fees are set by your dentist and are based on your oral health, and the treatments you're likely to receive in the future. They're also determined by your dental practice and its running costs, which vary from one practice to another.
When you first joined a Denplan plan, your dentist will have chosen a fee category for you based on your oral health needs. Your dental team may then review the amount you pay due to changes in your oral health, or due to their business costs, professional regulations or inflation.
Note: Although Denplan collects your payments, your fees are actually set by your dental team.
Your dental practice may review their fees from time to time, in line with business costs, professional regulations and inflation.
Your fees can also increase in relation to the amount of treatment you need over a period of time, as they are designed to reflect your oral health needs.
The best way to find out why your fees have changed is to speak to your registered dentist. They will be able to talk you through your plan and ensure that the care you are receiving is the best option for you.
To find out more about your fees and your current payment plan, speak to your dental team.
You could give them a call, or even pop in to see them, there's no need to wait until your next appointment. They will be able to tell you more about your payments and the care that you're currently entitled to receive as part of your payment plan.
Yes. At some point your dental team may refer you to a specialist for treatment, such as an orthodontist or oral surgery expert. As your payment plan contract is between you and your registered dentist, it only covers the care you receive from them and certain members of their dental team.
As specialist treatment is not a part of your regular care with your registered dentist, they will not have taken it into account when setting your fee.
Making a claim on your Denplan Supplementary Insurance doesn't affect your payments.
However, if your oral health changes as the result of a dental injury, you may need an increased level of care in the future, and your dentist may review your fee.
