I have been working with partners in various industries for over 25 years, I am passionate about creating long term partnerships and achieving mutual growth, I joined the wider Denplan family in 2020 and held various roles before moving into the Head of Denplan Partnerships role in May 2020. Outside of the office I enjoy golf and spending time on and by the water on the south coast.

Meet our clinical expert
Catherine Rutland, Clinical Director
As Clinical Director at Simplyhealth and Denplan, Dr Catherine Rutland leads a team that provides clinical governance advice to all areas of the business, as well as advice on clinical matters to maintain our customers’ confidence in us. Her team also provides assistance to member dentists; helping to support them with all aspects of running their practices successfully, through regulatory and legislative advice, clinical mediation, clinical risk management and our quality program.
After qualifying as a dentist from Leeds University in 1992 and doing a year as a House Officer, Catherine worked as a Senior House Officer in Newcastle before settling into general dental practice.
Catherine joined Denplan in 2010 and was promoted to Clinical Director in 2019.
In addition, Catherine has 19 years’ experience as a joint partner in a private dental practice in Berkshire. In 2013, she completed a Masters in Medical Ethics and Law from King's College London. Catherine is also a certified member of the Institute of Risk Management and completed a Level 7 Certificate in Leadership Mentoring and Coaching in 2016.
