We've had another brilliant year of events with our Denplan dentists, and we thought rather than just list them all, we would take this time to share a little glimpse into what it’s like when you join one of our iconic outings.

The Denplan Hiking Conference 2023

17th October – 20th October

Fresh air & stunning views were the story of 2023. The Denplan Hiking Conference returned for another year as Denplan dentists descended on England's largest national park, the Lake District. With unique networking opportunities in a truly natural environment, unparalleled experiences led by expert hiking guides, and even the opportunity to log CPD hours, the conference is the ideal break from the daily dental practice routine.

Day 1

On the first day, we walked an 18km circular route from the hotel, including a trek to the iconic Catbells and tracing the outskirts of Lake Derwent. The day was concluded with a fascinating lecture by Catherine Rutland, Clinical Director; Denplan, which outlined ‘Positivity in Practice’, looking at why staff morale is so important in the practice team.

Day 2

On the second day, delegates were given the opportunity to choose between two different walks: an 8km flat walk around Lake Buttermere, or the challenging trek to Great Gable, standing at 899m. The hiking on day two was followed by a Compliance Masterclass delivered again by Catherine Rutland. The talk provided delegates with an understanding of regulatory and legislation updates and how to implement changes in their practice.

Next year’s line-up is taking shape with a host of unique experiences, open to all Denplan members and guests, including the Stonehenge Marathon Walk and the Slieve Donard Walk!
