As I reflect on my first five months at Denplan, I’m filled with gratitude for the warm welcome and support I’ve received from every corner of the business. It’s been a privilege to join such a passionate and talented team, and I’ve been continually impressed by the dedication and energy that drives everything we do.

Denplan Connects: Inspiring stories and shared perspectives

One of the standout initiatives during this time has been our Denplan Connects series, an opportunity to bring our community together through shared stories and fresh perspectives. We were honoured to welcome Cat Burford as a guest speaker: not only a fellow dentist, but also the 13th woman in history to reach the South Pole unassisted. Her story of resilience and determination was nothing short of extraordinary, and it sparked meaningful conversations across the room.

Taking oral health to parliament

We’ve had the opportunity to take our work to Parliament, where a live session of the BrightBites preventive program was delivered to a group of School children and Members of Parliament, highlighting the importance of early education in oral health. Alongside this, our CEO presented our Future of Dentistry white paper, outlining a bold and necessary vision for the profession. The document focuses on empowering the entire dental workforce, prioritising and expanding preventative intitiatives, ensuring financial sustainability, and transforming funding models to better serve patients and practitioners alike.

Celebrating growth and looking ahead to 2026

2025 has been a year of change.  Change in personnel who have given many years of service to Denplan. There has been a huge investment in technology, some of which will be landing in practice in the near future. But the excellent news for Denplan is that we have grown again, year on year, from 2022.

Looking ahead, I’m excited for the upcoming Denplan Christmas Galas, a chance to celebrate the year’s achievements, reconnect with colleagues, and enjoy some well-earned festive cheer. I’m very much looking forward to seeing many of you there.

Thank you again for making these first few months so memorable. Here’s to a bright and collaborative future and a really exciting 2026.
